About This Game The Great War 1918 is a WW1 modification for Company of Heroes, focusing on the last year of the First World War. Currently it features the British Expeditionary Force and the German Empire as opposing factions; however new nations will be brought over time, such as France and Austria-Hungary. This has singlehandedly stomped out any desire I had to play this mod. Also:-Mortars also have far too much range and damage making trenchlines and fortifications useless(range is about half of 25lb arty emplacement). -Crewed guns move far too slowly and their range is pathetic.-First aid station healing is a timed ability at cost rather than a passive area regen.-Limited and completely unimaginative commander tree's and unit upgrades. With some more work this would be fun.. One lonely night I had just finished watching WWI documentaries and felt in the mood for a WWI game. I didn't want to play Verdun because that game gets boring quick. I was scrolling through with World War 1 in the search bar. Probably my best decision ever. Found this game and I can't stop playing.. It completly broke my game. now i cant see any of my troops. if any one can tell me how to fix this then plz do then ill up th rating but till then 0/10.. 5/7- IGN "Amazing". the game doesnt launch. Great mod for Company of Heroes, best one in my oppinion only second to Blitzkrieg. A must try!.
